When did you stop blood thinners after IVF BFP

Hi,

Currently very early stages of pregnancy after a frozen embryo transfer. We were diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility and as a standard protocol out on daily blood thinners.

Anyone else been on the same for a very standard / default reason? I wasn't put on them for any specific reason.

If so when were you allowed to stop taking them, they are the most painful / hated part of my protocol and I can't wait to get off of them!!

Thanks

At 12 weeks. By then my local hospital had taken over my care and I needed their confirmation to stop.

P.S. absolutely hated them too

Thanks Velvet! Glad you got off them before 40 weeks!

Were you put on them for a specific reason or just default?

16 weeks then switched to aspirin! Curious, why do you hate them so much? Are you bruising? I found doing mine around the far side of my waist rather than anywhere near the belly button helped with that!

Here is why I hate them 😂

I'm using Inhixia which is a pretty filled blunt syringe half filled with air that tends to jam as I push it down. I ice the area before and after and I'm sure the liquid inside (which does sting a fair bit and bruises a tiny bit) isn't the issue. It's the bullshit shitty air filled blunt syringe with a terrible plunger.

I've been totally blasé with the intramuscular progesterone shots, the stun injections and the triggers. But these are absolutely the worst few minutes of my day.

I'm also a little peeved that I had no real history pointing to needing them and why can't aspirin be used in their place?!
