Hi ladies,

I am 33 soon going to be 34. I have been diagnosed by nhs as unexplained infertility.
I was offered a round of IVF in guys st Thomas hospital which wasn't successful.

I got 20 eggs out of which only 11 fertilised and only 1 made it to blastocyst which I lost in 4.5 weeks during my FET cycle as it was a chemical pregnancy.

The NHS nurses told me that I suffer from potential egg quality issue so I need some help all you amazing ladies in recommending a good IVF clinic in London who specialises in treating women with bad egg quality and with good success rate

I would try mild IVF with the likes of create / ABC. Often forcing too many eggs equals poor quality. I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant after a round with ABC - only 5 usable eggs were retrieved, 3 fertilised and the remaining 2 embryos were frozen on day 6.

@lawandgin - Did you go with ABC or create? And did you have success the first time?

If you don't mind can I ask if you were stimulated via Letrozole/clomid or the conventional gonal -F or menopure

@hopeful02 I went with ABC as they are cheaper and I fit their criteria for treatment (under 37 years of age, BMI below 30 and AFC/AMH over 12). They tend to use Bemfola or Ovaleap, I was started on a dose of 125 but that was increased to 150 after my first scan. We were lucky enough to be successful first time around, but there is a long way to go yet! Good luck - happy to answer any other questions if that would be helpful.

@lawandgin - that's great to hear! Did they do anything to improve the egg quality?

@hopeful02 nothing specifically, as I don't think there's anything they can do. I think you'd just be advised to cut out alcohol, not smoke, have a good diet etc which you are probably doing already. Also, I was taking ubiquinol as this is recommended for egg quality. The whole point with ABC and Create is quality over quantity (which has always made sense to me!)
