Transfers & Partners

Does anyone know if partners are allowed at transfers? FET has been scheduled in 14 days and forgot to ask about partners' situ. I've got to have a covid swab 3 days beforehand.

Aghh. Posted before I'd finished. Would partner need a covid test beforehand? Are they even allowed in?

My partner was allowed for transfer :) just had to do a lateral flow test in the morning and show them the registered negative outcome x

I’ve been told my partner is allowed in for transfer next week and no covid tests. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks for letting me know. Fingers crossed partners allowed!

For anyone who finds this thread in a search, unfortunately my clinic (at midlands nhs hospital) has confirmed that no partners are currently allowed SadSad

I know it's disappointing, I also have had transfer alone due to covid. The staff were very kind and patient. They had printed out a photo of the embryo for us. If they don't do that ask if they could send you the image.
Can your partner wait in the car until you come out? I know it's not the same but you have a few days to get used to it, you can do it, and he can still look after you when it's done.

My clinic in the midlands still not allowing partners in either

Depends on clinic. I had a transfer last week and partner was not allowed in person, but could be on the phone.

My partner was allowed in, no Covid test, that was a month ago at Kings Fertility. And actually, they said no partners for all the scans but with a little pushing and assertiveness, based on my nervousness and needing support, she came in to all of them. So you could try and push it...?
