Miscarriage - is this normal?

Hi all - would love some advice on whether my current miscarriage experience sounds normal/to be expected. Had a missed MC around six weeks, it’s three weeks later. Had light bleeding since Sunday, bad but manageable cramps today and passed what I assume was the sac (quite large liver looking like thing!). Have had quite horrific cramps since, on par with labour (have one child), been going for approx four hours now and increasing amounts of blood. Is this normal or should I be feeling better post the sac being out? Quite hard to find helpful online info! TIA!

I think if the bleeding is getting heavier it's probably safest to get checked out, maybe call your early pregnancy unit?

I had medical management of a second trimester miscarriage and felt a lot of pain. It turned out that, after passing the baby, a bit of placenta got stuck and was blocking the cervix so nothing else could get out! Once it was removed manually, the rest of what needed to come out could do so and the pain lessened substantially.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hey I'm so sorry to hear this ❤️ I've had 3 miscarriages and my first one was a MMC. I found that my bleeding was always light until I passed the sac, and then it got heavier like a heavy painful period and lasted a bit longer than my usual periods. Always best to phone your doctor tho if the pain can't be managed with over the counter meds and you're soaking more than 1 pad an hour. Sending you virtual hugs and there will be a day soon when you feel better within yourself xxxx
