Positive FET stories

Our first fresh attempt was unsuccessful (chemical) and I'm just working myself into a bit a hole about our next FET.

Has anyone had a failed fresh and gone on to get a BFP from their next FET?

Just looking for a bit of positivity I guess.

Yesssss! I had a failed fresh transfer in July 2019. No reason was given as to why it failed. Went straight onto a FET the following October and it led to a BFP. My little boy is now 1. Good luck!!

@Zest11 thank you so much 🥰 I'm exactly the same. No reason why it ended in chemical just didn't work out! It's just so hard to understand but you've given me so much hope for our FET xx

My first transfer wasn't a fresh because of OHSS and polyp so had a frozen a few months after EC but it failed with a chemical pregnancy. My next frozen transfer turned into my one year old.

It is so upsetting getting your hopes up and then dashed with a chemical but the doctors did assure me it was good I was showing signs that an embryo was able to start to implant. They basically just put it down to bad luck and picking them wrong embryo the first time. Hopefully next time it will be the right one!

@Zest11 how are you?! How is your one old? I’m sure you are a teacher too? Or maybe I’m wrong?! Have you gone back to work? I start a new job in job next week in Y1/2 class.

@2021babyhope its exhausting to be positive sometimes isn’t it -but fingers crossed your environment is receptive and it is just a case of having another go. I agree -there is a lot of luck in it.

Yes OTD is Tuesday -but did I tell you it was positive this morn when I tested. Will test again on Tuesday tho. Fingers crossed it sticks around!!

@2021babyhope I hope it all goes well for you. I remember being gutted. You're right that it's hard to understand. I couldn't comprehend why it didn't work...A chemical is so rubbish but @mouse1234567 is right that in that it shows your body getting somewhere. I had a natural one a long time before so that gave me a bit of hope. Will you go straight onto a FET or wait a little while? Xx

Yes! My first fresh round was unsuccessful (2 embryos frozen). I then went on to have my (completely cherished) daughter from a frozen transfer. We transferred my second frostie 3 years later but sadly miscarried at 9 weeks. I just did another fresh round in February this year, it was unsuccessful (6 in the freezer 😮). We have just done a frozen round and I'm now 6 weeks pregnant with my fingers tightly crossed. Terrified but thankful 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🌈🌈🌈. Good luck, it's not an easy thing to go through but so worth it x x

@Zest11 hopefully go straight in but my consultation isn't until 30th sept and I imagine they'll want to wait until my next period to start anything again so I imagine I'll be looking at late oct/early nov!

I was hoping it would be earlier but mentally and physically I'm glad for the break.

Gives me time for a bit of normality and focus on our next round 🤞🏼

@Frozenmumma that's so amazing 🥰 I've got 5 Frosties at the moment so hopefully enough for a sticky bfp this time round but would love to have some saved for a future sibling 🖤 such a dream!

It's good to hear some success stories. I had a chemical after my fresh cycle in May. Did the era, emma and alice tests and all clear, so we're able to plan our FET - saw our doctor today and nurse consultation mid September, fingers crossed one of our two frosties will be getting comfy in October 🙂

@2021babyhope so sorry the fresh cycle didn’t work out, but 🤞 for the FET

We are very fortunate to have had two FET successes resulting in 3 children after an unsuccessful fresh transfer. (FET1- singleton, FET2- BFN, FET3- twins)

Was is an Alice and Emma test? I don't think I've ever heard of those!

@2021babyhope those tests look at the uterus lining for infection and inflammation, including the balance of bacteria. I bled from 7dp5dt quite badly but then tested positive from 9dp5dt for a week, but with very low hcg. So we wanted to rule out any issues with the environment. I'm already on an immune protocol for overactive nk cells and my specialist thinks they were well controlled. As nothing showed up, we've got the green light yo go ahead 🤞 for our October transfer.
When are you looking to do yours? X

@2021babyhope I think that makes sense. You have dates/an idea of what's going happen so you know what's happening. And you also have a bit of time for yourself and prepare. There was a gap of a good 2.5months between transfers for mine and I think it was about right. I had to wait for a period too. You also have a good number of frozen too!!
