Hi all,
We are in the process of undergoing fertility testing after ttc since Feb 2020. In that time we've had one early miscarriage and one mmc at 11 weeks. My husband had a semen analysis on the NHS (performed at home and transported to the hospital about 30 mins drive). Results below average but not HUGELY concerning. Our private consultant suggested we provide a repeat sample - performed 'in house' and analysed immediately to determine 'consistency' of the results. (She intimated that travelling the semen may have impacted the findings).
We got a call from the lab the other day and they've asked for (another!) repeat sample as they couldn't find ANY sperm in the one he gave the week before...
The embryologist then went on to say that when they spun it, they found sperm and my husband said it sounded like it was a fault at their end that they were trying to rectify.
It's naturally got me concerned but surely, pregnant twice in a year (albeit neither successful) he must have sperm of some degree?
Can anyone shed any light/offer any hope/ease my anxiety/hold my hand?
Thank you 🙏🏼
