Self Isolating and FET

How much self isolating are others doing before and after a FET? I'm already on day 11 of the oestrogen tablets so due a scan soon. What have others done? On one hand if I need to isolate for weeks I will but also trying to balance it with what is best for me overall as well as my little ones who will need to go to school / nursery. Covid makes things so much more complicated!

Hi -I had my transfer a week ago. I tried my best to avoid unnecessary indoor socialising and was a bit careful about who I saw near to the transfer but I didn’t completely isolate. I think try to stick to outdoor meet ups etc and hopefully that keeps the infection risk quite low. Good luck.

Thank you for replying. Are you isolating / being more careful after transfer as well? It's so tricky to know what to do for the best. How have you been feeling? Have you got long until you test? X

Hi @Mamaemmeline -I had some events that I couldn’t/didn’t want to miss since the transfer -christening, 70th bday party so I have gone to those. Now the transfer is done I am carrying on as normal. My main concern was getting it before and having it cancelled. I’m still quite cautious by nature tho and try to wash hands a lot etc. My son starts nursery next week and also I start a job as a teacher so I know then I will be in among the germs! But I think hopefully if you are double vacced even if you get it -it hopefully shouldn’t be too bad?!

Hooray! What wonderful news. Is this your first FET? This my first FET and so feeling quite nervous. I've done two fresh cycles before which gave us a little boy and girl and now wanting to use our remaining embryos.
