8 cell day 3 frozen embryo transfer

Hi all,

Has anyone been successful with implanting a day 3 8 cell embryo? Due to low numbers of fertilisation , my embryologist froze one 8 cell embryo (I had to have a freeze all due to risk of OHSS).

We have managed to freeze another day 6 blast (4BA) but with only these two, I'm worried of our chances of a pregnancy. We have already had two retrieval's and this is all we have. We cannot financially afford another round so all our hopes are with these two little embryos.

Any honest opinions would be great,

Well I transferred what was an 8 cell day 3 which was then thawed and cultured to day 5 together with a day 6 4bb....and I had twins (after 3 previous failed transfers)

I had 3dt with an 8 cell.. well it was 9 cell by time we arrived at hospital for transfer.. but mine was fresh we didn’t freeze it… only 5 collected at each collection and only 1 fertilised both times.. my daughter has just turned 2 x

I am 4+2 with an 8 cell day 3 embryo. Unfortunately I should have had a freeze all and didn't, so I am now suffering with late onset ohss which is not nice. My results at the time of EC in no way suggested I was at risk, so no one can really understand it! Good luck op.

My DC was a day 3 8 cell FET. 8 cell embryos have good success rates (other numbers between 6 and 11 cells also have varying success rates but 8 cells is best)

hey @Prayingforabubba I am about to transfer a day 1 so I am right here with you with the stress and anxiety. I had a freeze all as well for OHSS risk, and of 17 eggs only 6 were mature and 3 fertilised, so in that case they had to freeze them on day 1. I think day 3s have pretty good success rates so don't lose hope. Wishing you all the luck in the world xxx

@lawandgin congratulations! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months 🙏🏼 so soryy try to hear about your ohss. I was frustrated having a freeze all because I actually have no symptoms but I guess it does give time for the body to rest and recover. I hope the symptoms subside soon x

Had embryo transfer result came negative. Whole cycle failed 😭. No embryo grow to day 5.

How many cycle you did dear . My ivf cycle totally failed . And from which clinic
