I've just had my first appointment with the IVF consultant. ( I did ask and he didn't know he was lovely though)

I'm approaching the age cut off and wondering when the cut off is applied -is it upon referral or treatment -and is it and 'up to' age or the whole of that age year.

So say the limit is 35 does that mean up to age 35 or any time in you 35th year (and is it at point of referral or point of treatment)

My birthday is in January. Thank you 😊

Hi OP. Check your CCG guidance, it should specify. My CCG’s cut off specified 39 and 364 days at the time of treatment.

As pp says check your CCG guidance. There are other factors too, AMH level for example

Thank you I know what to look for and where to look now.

I'm having the AMH test as first port of call.

Thanks

For most you need to have commenced treatment by the cut off - this doesn't include referral etc it means actually be taking the medication ie having treatment
