Hey All...is there any more of me out there?
I'm 39 and single. I had a mc 5 months ago at 7 weeks....my relationship had come to an end....where before I had accepted that kids probably weren't going to happen for me I suddenly felt a complete turn around!

So I went to the GP who had never been asked this question....can the NHS help me get pregnant alone....but she made effort to help abs then a clinician at the hospital advocated my situation and I've received funding for IVF.......

I've had checks....FSH level is 10....normal for my age but where I used to be like clockwork with my period every 28 days now I'm all over the place....I don't know whether it's because of my period or taking pregnacare conception vitamins or what but I'm hoping they resume. I've had an ultrasound which showed a small fibroid but it's not impacting on my uterus (hesteroscopy).....anyhow....I've got my first consultation with the fertility clinic and hoping it progresses......don't quite believe it yet....feel very privileged to be given this opportunity...

However......if this is successful this is going to be one hell of a ride.......ConfusedGrin

I feel like I'm the only woman that is doing this on her own?! Surely that can't be true???

@GJJ1982 , Congrats! wonderful to see your news - so "12 week" scan coming soon!

I'm now 32 weeks myself and things are still okay apart from being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and polyhydramnios which is scary (and hence why I am up late - he wasn't moving as much as usual earlier this evening and I was getting panicky but he's finally kicking away here as I type, so best get to sleep!)

Hope all continues to go well for you Flowers

@IamnotwhouthinkIam!! Wow last time you messaged you were 9 weeks! It’s amazing you are now 32! I’m sorry to hear re your diagnosis’ but it doesn’t mean that it will impact on you or the baby it’s just possibles so keep positive although I know how hard that must be. I’m so happy for you though…..it won’t be long until you have that baby in your arms and you’ll think about how far you’ve come. You should be very proud of yourself.
I’m a bag of worries. I don’t feel pregnant apart from my boobs feeling slightly tender….no little pouch, it’s a very worrying time. I’ve been having private scans to reassure me. I have one on Saturday just 🤞 that everything is okay. Keep us posted on how you get on x

@GGJJ82 , Unfortunately the worrying doesn't seem to get less as you go along, if you are anything like me! In fact I've been so nervy after waiting so long for this baby that I paid privately for a scan and NIPT once I was 10 weeks (where I also found out he was a boy out of curiosity) - and then again for another private scan at 26 weeks as it felt too long a wait between my NHS 20 week and 31 week ones Blush. So you aren't alone with extra scans!

Try not to panic about lack of symptoms if you can though - personally my boob ache and and nausea had disappeared by about 10 weeks and then I had no real symptoms till about 14/15 weeks when my bump started to show and I started getting numb thighs/upper leg pains (the latter doesn't happen to everyone obviously!) .
