Post laparoscopy/hysteroscopy/ovarian drilling

Hi! I had a Laparoscopy on Tuesday (removed endo and had ovarian drilling), initially had some bleeding post operation, nothing yesterday and started bleeding again today (have been more active).
Probably a silly question but does anyone know if I count this as the start of a new cycle? Just looking for other experiences post a lap.

Hi @SammyG0303 hope you are recovering well I have had the same last year in October I was on my period for the surgery and then had slight bleeding on and off I then had a full period 4 weeks later I hope this helps I think it’s more just a reaction from the surgery if it’s not a full bleed xxx

Hi @sammyG0303 I had ovarian drilling on June 2nd this year, I bled for a day or 2 after the op which was a light bleed and the nurses said this was post op bleeding. Prior to this I hadn’t had a period for over 3 months due to PCOS.

I let six weeks go by and was becoming extremely stressed as still had no sign of AF. I was feeling low that day and decided to do a pregnancy test just to see if a miracle had happened. To my surprise I found out I was pregnant, this meant the operation classed as day 1 of my cycle and I ovulated 2 weeks after it. I am now nearly 8 weeks pregnant and am still in shock at how well the operation worked!

Thank you so much for both of your replies. I am still bleeding but it is very light so I will wait to see what happens over the next few weeks.
