Second transfer failed - I need some hope

Hi everyone. I really need some positive stories of people who had more than two transfers but then got successfully pregnant. All I seem to find are those who it worked for first time, or those with multiple failed transfers.

I am completely broken. We have low AMH (3 pmol at age 31) but successfully managed to get 5 eggs. 3 became (apparently) good quality embryos but we now only have one left. First was fresh transfer, second was frozen.

I’m worried there’s something wrong with my uterus that is making implantation impossible. I’m so terrified for the future, I don’t think I can do this again. I’m scared my AMH will have dropped so much by the next egg collection we will get no eggs.

Any positive stories or support would be so helpful. Thanks.

I'm sorry your latest round didn't work 💐

To be honest I had 2 failed transfers from my first egg collection and wrote off the remaining blastocyst from that cycle. We did another egg collection on the same protocol and had another failed transfer

Decided to change protocol completely to natural modified and did another 3 collections And had twins on my 4th transfer

I did find in the end that even the women i got friendly with on support groups going through IVF faded away as they were largely successful on their first egg collection and first transfer and I didn't feel like they could then understand what it was like to have to go through it multiple times with the costs ramping up all the time

The only advice I can give is don't give up - each egg collection is different and maybe this batch isn't great but the next one might be

@Pumpkinspice77 - I had multiple failed IUI's and 2 failed IVF transfers (1 fresh which was a double transfer, 1 frozen) without even a chemical pregnancy. I really thought there must be something wrong with my womb/lining as nothing was implanting - but for me it has been 3rd time lucky so far.

I did another double transfer - fresh this time after a second IVF cycle (as I only manage to get 3 or 4 3 day embryos each time because of few eggs/low AMH). Only 1 of the embryos took and it is still very early days yet so I'm trying to not get too excited (I'm only 8 weeks and higher risk for loss unfortunately due to age/PCOS/endo). But I still wanted to give you hope - my clinic said they don't get concerned about implantation until there has been 3 or 4 failed IVF transfers.

@Pumpkinspice77 - I am sorry this hasn't worked for you yet. But as pp said, please don't lose hope.

1st cycle - double transfer of average quality embryos on day 3 - Failed
2nd cycle - 1 8 cell Grade 1 embryo, transferred on day 3. Positive pregnancy but resulted in MC
3rd cycle - 1 Grade1 Morula, transferred on day 4. Failed
4th cycle - 2 embryos, transferred one on day 5, one is in the freezer. It seems this has worked for me. I am only 7 weeks right now, so really nervous & scared. But still wanted to give you hope that it can work.

We spent so much money on all the tests - Karyotype, Clotting, Immunology. Everything came back as normal. I have good AMH for my age & my husband's sperm tests have all been normal except the last one (successful cycle) where his motility was extremely low.

The only difference in my 4th cycle was that the clinic changed my protocol from short protocol to long protocol.

So don't give up & try another cycle if you can afford it.
