How long did your IVF funding approval take?

Just that really. Been referred for IVF, had all the tests, just waiting for the NHS funding approval. They have said it will be approved but it could take weeks/months for the process.

Just want to get started now... we started investigations in January and it feels like it's dragging on forever!

How long did it take people to get from initial investigations to actually starting treatment?

I think from being told they would refer me including getting the funding it was 7 weeks from hearing from the clinic.

Oh that doesn't sound too bad @Reefy... how long between hearing from the clinic and when you started treatment if you don't mind me asking?

So from hearing from them & doing the forms only from them it was around 10 days later I had my first scan. Then around 2 weeks later a consultation with a doctor via zoom then unfortunately they needed some tests done for my OH so held that up a bit so it was around another 6 weeks till we had a nurse consultation via zoom again then a week later started the meds! X

@want2bemum I think also depends on the area with backlogs & stuff. It's been really quick once they had all they needed.

Hi I’m from greater Manchester (Bolton) was referred in April. Had my first consultation in June, had HSG in September and now they have started me on clomid not sure why because I am ovulating???? I have a consultation with the consultant in Dec and hoping to push for ivf. How long roughly does anyone think it would take from my dec appt to actually having ivf. And what process is involved. Also it says on my prescription to have clomid for 6 cycles? Do I have to have it for 6 cycles as I just want ivf now
