Hi

I currently on my first cycle of IVF on a short protocol - I've just had my 3rd scan today (cycle day 13) and my follicle count is around 6-7 - 2 follicles have grown 18mm.

I have another scan Wednesday for possible egg collection on Friday. My worry is when I did my AMH and original scan 6 months ago my AFC was 34? Is that normal I'm so low now?
I'm currently on 300unit overleap and fyremadel

I'm just worried there may not be enough eggs to then grade and transfer.

Anyone else been had this experiance or advise? Thank you for taking the time to read my worries.

Hi
I have a AFC of 34 as well, as your AFC is very high it's likely you are on low dose stims to prevent OHSS. AFC varies month to month, but not drastically.

The follicles present at the moment are the ones that are responding. In my case I had 11 right up until EC and then on the day I got 12 eggs, the good news is they were all mature and all fertilized and I ended up with 9 blasts. It is quality not quantity.

You really won't know what will happen until the day 5 update. If you do have a low amount of blasts then your clinic can make sure they take note of what's happen and adjust the protocol next time.

Thank you for your reassurance on your experience I did read it's not about the quantity - but just over reading and making me go crazy! Your right I will only know at EC and day 5... so hard not to overthink!
