IVF Packages

Hi everyone,

Im currently looking at starting IVF ICSI for the first time, we are going private for this and we have been told there are many different packages available where you can buy multiple cycles of IVF. There are also packages that have a higher cost but have a refund option if there is no baby at the end of the cycles you buy.

What type of package did you go for? Has anyone got any advice? i feel a little bit overwhelmed and unsure which option to go with

I looked at the Access one but you are restricted to which clinics you can use. Also because I had a history of miscarriages I wasn't accepted on the full refund option. Also be aware that you need to add medications etc on top of the price and any additional "add ons"

I did a 3 cycle package with my clinic for cycles 3-5 and wish I'd just signed up to that in the first place - mine was an all in cost including medications, freezing and transfer etc x

Thank you for that, i will check if my clinic does packages too. Im also looking at access for the packages as you mentioned! How many cycles did you have to get your twins? Thats amazing! can i ask if you got the choice to try for a multiple birth?

I did 5 rounds in the end with Create - cycles 1 and 2 were single packages and then cycles 3-5 were a 3 cycle package

I was lucky with my twins on the 4th transfer.

I requested a double transfer and the clinic were fine with it because we'd had several failed transfers and everyone thought the chance of one sticking let alone two was unlikely 🤣

I also did a 3 cycle package with Create. I liked the fact they gave a full breakdown of all costs and offered an interest free credit option! I thought they were very transparent throughout

However, I don’t think the packages are that much cheaper than paying per cycle as you only usually get one embryo transfer included.

I got a breakdown of costs for one cycle and three cycles and then made my decision.
