Frozen transfer timing

Hello,

I know I am overthinking here and getting myself worked up over nothing! I had my scan to check lining before frozen transfer yesterday and have been booked in for next week.

Today I have been looking at the timings with my cycle and have realised the transfer will only be on cycle day 13, of what would usually be around a 32 day cycle. Is this too early for transfer?

I’m on oestrogen tablets and cyclogest pessaries, if that makes any difference?

I don’t want to keep pestering the clinic by phoning and asking what are probably really silly questions!

On the scan they would have checked that your ovaries were quiet. This means your body does not influence the timing of the transfer.

A transfer is planned for when the lining is thick enough (usual cut off is over 7-8mm). At this point you start progesterone and the transfer happens on day 6 of it. The progesterone causes the endometrium to be receptive.

For a day 5 transfer it usually falls on around day 21, but if the lining is thick earlier then there's no reason to hold off until then. Equally for people with lining issues, they can have their transfer much later on as they require the estradiol for longer.

Thank you that makes me feel a lot better!

I thought maybe that would be the case and that the normal cycle wouldn’t matter.

Really appreciate the advice!
