Clomid advice- after ovulation

Hi all,

Just wanted some advice re clomid. I got a solid smiley using Clearblue OPk and can assume from that I ovulated on day 16. This is good for me as I usually ovulate late around day 18/19. My cycle length is 28 days. I’m now on day 20 and have been getting lots of pulling pains. It’s been like this for the last few days I’d say. They are very similar to AF pains and constant. Not really uncomfortable just pulling lower down. I doubt it’s implantation cramps as surely they aren’t this constant? Anyone else experience cramping after ovulation with clomid? Is it normal? Before taking clomid I would usually get cramps quite a few days before AF so I am wondering whether it’s just that.

Any help much appreciated! Also tips for keeping headaches away as I got a lot of those in the first week! Thanks Sian x

Would refrain from using OPKs whilst on clomid as this drug treatment encourages more LH to be produced. As these kits read LH levels the kit could be reading this and thus giving you a misleading result.

Are you being monitored whilst on clomid?. I ask as no monitoring is not acceptable and if you are not monitored you have no way of knowing whether it’s working or not.

Btw do you have a diagnosis?.

These cramping type pains may well be as a result of clomid but if you are at all worried do contact the people who prescribed this.

@AttilaTheMeerkat no diagnosis just late ovulation and low progesterone. I was meant to go for a scan between cycle days 10-14 but my husband had Covid so had to isolate. Just confused by al the constant pulling pains.
