Leftover meds

I did a couple of cycles of IVF many moons ago and have still got some out of date pre-loaded clexane syringes that I need to get rid of. The council won't take them, the pharmacy that delivered them doesn't seem to be in business any more and no pharmacies will accept them. What should I do? Do clinics take them for practice, for example? I've also got piles of extra syringes that the pharmacist lumped into the order for some reason.

I actually gave my leftover meds and syringes to my midwife (the one looking after me during pregnancy at hospital) and she disposed off for me. You could ask your GP or local hospital if they will dispose off for you?
