High AMH/ Lister consultant IVF recommendations

Hi, I’ve just found out the doctor I was going to do IVF with at the Lister is retiring. I’m upset to say the least, I don’t want to start this again with another doctor when I wanted this one and chose the clinic for this one.

Can anyone here recommend a doctor they did IVF with with high AMH at the Lister or elsewhere? Thanks.

Forgot to say it’s Dr Taylor so you don’t recommend me the same one probably.

@Limeflower2 and @thislittlebird can I ask for your recommendation as well please ? thank you :)

@Nania60 hi! I wish I had one, but it’s probably too early to say for me. So far I’m with Dr Faris and he seems nice, but that’s about as much as I can contribute at this early stage. Are you with Lister already for treatment?

Not yet only staring this journey so Im a bit lost Confused

@Nania60 I’m starting in September/October so very new too. Are you planning on moving to ivf soon? Or just getting some checks done initially? Happy to help if you have any questions x

@thislittlebird
If you dont mind me asking
You said you had to change consultants does it mean that you would have a like personalised treatment and have all the consultations with the same Dr?
Im just wondering because so far I noticed that you see your consultant at the initial consultation, they desing the treatment plan and that’s it you hardly see them anymore
Is that true ?

Thanks Smile

@Nania60 yeah, essentially, you see them before and then for the post cycle review I suppose. On the plus side it means if you don’t like your consultant you can just switch without any fuss. I struggled with it all at first because it doesn’t feel enough, but I will say this doctor has given me his number to call or text if I need anything so I did find that a positive experience. He called me today to discuss something I’d forgot to mention.

@Limeflower2 has had a cycle already and assured me all her experiences with different consultants for things on the day have been good, so I found that reassuring.

Hi all, how was Lister? I am thinking of it as an option and getting opinions :) did you have a positive one?

thislittlebird · 30/12/2021 06:27

@K8dferXdder hi, I haven’t actually had any ivf with them yet because suddenly my nhs funded ivf was approved when I was planning to go private so I delayed the private round until after we’ve done the funded one. I did do ovulation induction with the Lister for a few months and I have no complaints, my doctor was accessible and the nurses were all very kind and helpful. Having the Shard clinic was useful to me on a few occasions too, it’s less of a journey for me.
