Should I delay my FET?

I feel really torn at the moment and not sure what to do!

I had my first IVF with ICSI cycle in May/June but couldn’t have a transfer straight away due to mild OHSS.

I have been in to the hospital for my scan and to collect my medication for my FET and am due to start my tablets any day now.

The only thing is I am currently isolating due to contact with Covid, but should be all clear by the time I need to go in for a monitoring scan.

It’s really thrown me and made me question whether it would be better to wait another month (if I am even allowed to delay)

I haven’t had my second jab yet and would rather have it before than during pregnancy if I am lucky enough to get pregnant.

There are a couple of other big things happening at the moment as well that are worrying me about starting my FET now.

Do you think I am crazy to ask to delay it? Will the NHS allow me to?

Given the current situation with covid, getting fully vaccinated in preparation sounds like a very valid reason for waiting a bit for your FET! I'm sure the clinic will understand and be supportive of you if that's what you want to do. Plus, they might want to wait anyway if you're isolating at the moment - check with them?

Hi -I’m trying to conceive my second baby after I g for my first -and have always thought I won’t start until after my second vaccine. I understand it’s a different position to be in when it’s for Second child -but I agree with the previous poster that it is a very valid reason to delay treatment a month. Good luck.
