I had my embryo transfer on 22nd June. Took the test at the time told (10 days after transfer) it was positive. Took tests every few days since and still been positive until today. Took a test this morning and it's negative 😭
I am devastated obviously but please someone tell me it's possible that I'm still pregnant and what do I even do now?
Thank you

Oh I'm sorry ❤️ can you call the clinic to see what they advise? Have you had any bleeding or cramps? Do you have your scan booked soon? X

AliceAbsolum · 09/07/2021 10:51

Was it a diluted wee?

Infertilitywarrior · 09/07/2021 11:18

No bleeding at all yet. I've had cramps all the way through on and off really
And no it wasn't diluted it was my 2nd wee of the day and I had woke up to wee so hadn't really drink anything

I’m so sorry -this is such a horrible experience. I did have something similar on my first transfer and it did turn out to be a chemical and it was so hard to deal with. I’m so sorry -this really isn’t what you want to hear . Speak to the clinic and you could arrange a HCG blood test to confirm what is happening. Best of luck with everything.

Infertilitywarrior · 09/07/2021 12:55

Would a chemical technically appear as me being pregnant then? And then just not progress? Therefore meaning negative tests?
It's heartbreaking 😭
Clinic have said to stop all meds and wait for a bleed 😭 and that's it 😭

I’m very sorry you are going through this OP.
A positive pregnancy test on the official test date is accurate so very sadly it does sound like you are experiencing an early pregnancy loss . A similar thing happened to me just before my six week scan. We are here if you need to talk xx

Thank you ❤️
Just keep wondering how I move on from the feeling of being absolutely crushed 😭
I was so hopeful and it's so devastating even with it being so early I allowed myself to hope 😭

Sorry -it really is heartbreaking when your hopes have been dashed after the positive test. I imagine that your period will come slowly once you stop the meds. If you were getting a positive test on OTD the embryo def did implant but sadly it wasn’t a viable pregnancy. So sorry. Was it your first transfer or have you done a few? Look after yourself.

Infertilitywarrior · 09/07/2021 17:03

It was my first transfer so I naively allowed myself to be excited and forget the risks that were still there 😭

@Infertilitywarrior so sorry to hear your first transfer didn’t work out. Obviously everyone is different and no one can predict the future but just to give you some hope. On my first transfer I had a chemical pregnancy and on my second I was so lucky to have my son who is now one. Fingers crossed next time it will work for you. All the best.
