Does anyone have any experience with the Lister or Evewell clinics or recommend any others in London for low AFC, and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR)? Age is not on my side either so need to pick the best clinic ASAP…

The Evewell have a huge focus on improving egg quality which is helpful with both age and DOR. If you can, consult with both?

Hi There,
I have had eight rounds (10 in total- but 2 rounds cancelled) at the Evewell. Zero success. I am also DOR, but with no other health issues.

I started at aged 40 collecting with the Evewell and I am now 44. Evewell have very little success rate for 40+ or DOR
I chose the clinic because it was close to home, a beautiful set -up and lovely staff.
It was a number's game for me and i trusted Evewell to guide me.
They were so lax and spent more time sending me invoices (paid invoices). Accounts were aggressive and rude even though i always paid on time. Evewell is a money machine with very little experience.
After every transfer - I didn't even manage to get a positive pregnancy test. The doctor jokingly asked me "Are you injecting lubion into the air" and i replied - "into my stomach" - to which he said was correct.
After yet another round i asked if the tummy area was ok. He replied yes and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting a positive pregnancy with the blastocysts.
I should have gone to another clinic...
I finally went for a second opinion and they told me Progesterone should be injected intramuscular and that is why I didn't achieve a positive pregnancy.
I am still very upset and it is painful to write about this, but I would never want anyone to go through what I have. it is now too late for me to start collecting at my age and stage.
I have to move on and let it go, but feel it important to share my experience with you.
Evewell have a lot of charm and very little experience.

@Patience1982 thank you for sharing your experience! I have also had failed transfers at the Evewell! I have two embryos frozen and just debating whether to stick with them or move? Who was your Dr? If you don’t mind sharing x

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I am having a few problems with the Evewell at the moment having just moved there so now really wondering what to do. Did they ever admit their mistake?

Been to both and my answer is definitely Lister. Am now pregnant with my second Lister baby. They have a lot of experience with DOR and advanced maternal age. They’ll do what’s right for you and not their stats (I can vouch for this many times over). There is also free unlimited counselling.

Was this the Lister Portland?

BitterOldCynic · 24/11/2022 09:52

No, Chelsea.

I’ve visited Portland also and liked it. However it’s very new and untested.

BitterOldCynic · 24/11/2022 09:53

I’m your shoes I’d probably go for Chelsea as it’s so much more established.
