Jonathan Ramsay appointment

Hi I am looking to book a consultation with Jonathan Ramsay following a high dna sperme fragmentation result. I received an out of office as he is currently on holiday until the end of June.

Does anyone know if there is a waiting list and generally how long the wait is until an appointment?

@XjustagirlX I tried to get an appt with him for exactly the same reason, high DNA frag. The appt waiting list was about 1.5 months, we went with another Urologist Prof Minhas, as only a 1/2 week wait, just because we didn't want to wait. He was great, we're doing more tests to rule out some causes then another consultation next week to discuss results

@Dbop100 thanks for replying. What tests did you do? And how long has it been between consultations?

@XjustagirlX we had the first consultation today in which he did a physical exam, he did the semen and urine tests straight after, he's doing the ultrasound on Tuesday and then we'll discuss the results next Thursday. So a week in total. He's basically testing for any varicose veins or infections. He also suggested lifestyle factors play a big part.

@Dbop100 that’s so quick! Do you know what the dementia and urine tests are for? Have they done a oxidative stress test? I read that it can be done so just wondered if he does that as standard.

@XjustagirlX the sperm and urine are tests for various infections or micro biome issues. The ultrasounds is to confirm no varicose, even though he did a physical exam he wanted to be 💯

He did mention oxidative stress, I'm not sure if there is a test for that or if you just change lifestyle things that can cause it - do you think you'll book in with him or wait for Mr Ramsay?

What kind of DNA frag results did your partner get btw? Mine has 37% so he said high enough to be concerned but he said he's seen higher

Not sure why but the wait wasn’t as long for Mr Ramsay when we booked. Saw him in late May but it was only a two week wait from when I called, and it was in London. We could have had the tests on the day but my husband couldn’t do the same day so he went a week or so later. Just waiting for the results of dna frag etc now, I guess I should try to book an appointment for the results in case there’s a delay.

How is everyone getting on with Dr Ramsay?
