New/intro post from me as I've just been referred and waiting for my first appointment to come through for fertility treatment. I'm 38 and have PCOS which makes my cycles completely erratic. My OH and I have tried to conceive on and off for 10 years without success. We've gone through phases of trying, phases of not trying, doing it ourselves and having help. Got as far as an IVF referral in 2011 but OH had significant health problems that made us put everything on hold for quite some time. Although we're much older now, we're both in the best physical and mental health of our lives. Like so many, the pandemic made us realise that it's well past time to seize the day with this and to give it one last real go. So here we are.
I know how important it is to have a bit of support, and what a rollercoaster the next wee while is going to be, so thought it would be a good idea to reach out and meet a few folks going through the same/similar.
