Utrogestan pessaries & progesterone levels

Hi guys

I hope you are all doing well Smile

I had my egg collection on Tuesday and am now preparing for transfer on Sunday fingers crossed!

I started the progesterone pessaries yesterday & have had some cramps feelings today. This is out 3rd cycle and therefore likely overthinking things but is this normal & have others had this? I'm guessing it's just response to the progesterone rise.

Also with regards to progesterone levels, have many of you had low levels even when taking the pessaries? I don't know whether to ask for q blood test to check progesterone levels or whether these are very likely fine when on the pessaries anyway (3 times a day)

Much love to all x

Hi, I've been on utrogestan (also 3 times a day and also 3rd round ) this round instead of cylogest and have had an awful lot of cramping. I feel like the side effects are alot more noticeable on utrogestan, but maybe I'm just blockng out the memories of the cylogest 😂
I've not done a pregnancy test yet, and have not had a progesterone blood test so can't tell you more than that but it's not just you

I started Utrogestan (3 per day) last Friday and had embryo transfer on Monday. I've also been having cramps. Feel exhausted. Struggling to concentrate which is making work hard. Feel miserable, moody and like I could burst into tears at any point.
Previously I've been on cyclogest which wasn't amazing but I don't remember feeling this bad.
I've never had progesterone levels tested. They just said it's automatic that you have the pessaries with IVF.

Thanks so much for your replies ladies. Made me feel more relieved. I have been on utrogestan before but just don't remember gettingd the cramps feelings this early! Makes yout think that any symptoms you feel really could be any number of things..!

Just in case either of you were interested I spoke to the embryologist this morning who phoned to give an embryo update and she said that if on utrogestan pessaries 3 times a day that really is enough and no need to have levels tested really.

@LetMeIn321 wishing you all the best with the next two weeks and getting through it and hoping you get a positive result!! At least those all feelings might hopefully better a sign the hormones are all doing their jobs & at the right levels Smile

@Dove88 not sure what stage you are at but if testing soon then got my fingers crossed for you and all the best xx
