Brown discharge

I'm 5w 2d after my first IVF transfer.
Had quite bad cramping last night and woke up this morning to a good bit of brown discharge. Every time I wipe and all over my utrogestan applicator.
Should I just wait and see if it goes or should I go to the doctor?

I never had implantation bleeding - is this too late to be it?

Thank you x

I have no personal experience but I think bleeding in early pregnacy is meant to be relatively normal, and brown blood is older so may be less worrying than red. You might be able to speak to an early pregnancy unit for advice?

Just had a look at the advice on my local early pregnancy unit is that appointments are not routinely arranged if you are under 6 weeks pregnant because light bleeding is fairly common at this stage in pregnancy and it is usually too early to see anything on scan.

I think try to take reassurance that light bleeding is fairly common.

I had brown bleeding at 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. Was very worried as well and convinced myself all was over. Neither time it lasted longer than a couple of hours and only when I wiped.

From everything I read online though bleeding in early pregnancy is quite common

Using pessaries vaginally can cause bleeding due to the increased blood flow during early pregnancy. I had bright red bleeding for a few hours at 6 weeks, scanned at 7 weeks and all fine with no explanation for bleeding apart from that. I have also been warned I may have bleeding after any internal scan due to this

Thank you everyone for your replies.
It seems to have tapered off today. Scan booked for Saturday so will have to hope everything is ok and take it from there xx
