PGS testing vs CAREmaps

Just started a cycle and am considering whether to add PGS testing for aneuploidy and/or CAREmaps.

We did a cycle in 2019 and got 4 blasts one of which is a lovely healthy 11 month baby and the remaining 3 have failed to implant/cp.

I’m 38 now and obviously really want the next transfer to work (if we get anything to transfer) but I don’t want to risk discarding a viable embryo via pgs which I’ve heard can happen.

On the other hand, is CAREmaps actually worth it or just an extra cost that doesn’t really tell you anything?

Grateful for insight from anyone who has made or considered this question!

@whatcangowrong I am sorry to hear about your abnormals. Did they say you could transfer the mosaic. I have heard you can get a healthy baby from a mosaic.
xx

No it's too abnormal my doctor said. Missing some quite key chromosomes :(

Hi I’ve just been reading all your posts, some interesting stuff. I really wish you all the best.
I’ve had 3 rounds of ivf and only got small numbers of eggs 3 on average each round. The last round 3 eggs all made to day 5, one fresh transfer (2,2, caremap 9 score) successful pregnancy (he is now 9 months old). One embryo frozen (2,3 caremap 3 score) last embryo not good enough to freeze.
I was told by the embryologist at the time of freezing that embryo it was a 3/10 score. Just had consultation and doctor says it’s 1/10 score. Has anyone or know of anyone having a successful pregnancy with such a low caremap score? x
