Slow follicle growth - IVF

My wife and I were told on Monday (day 11) that bar two follicles most had not grown. The Dr had recommended abandoning the cycle and starting again at a cost of £1,500. We were really p*ssed off because on Friday when she had her scan, a different Dr had said nothing but this new Dr advised we should have upped the Menopur then. We got her to agree to up it and we're going back tomorrow.

I suppose I'm looking for reassurance and guidance on how late follicles can grow. Said Dr had us thinking it's over on day 11. Is that right? It was a real blow to us and we're just finding the whole thing so hard.

To be honest as hard as it is i would abandon the cycle and try next month, I would also complain to the clinic and request they don't charge you the abandoned cycle fee since it was there misjudgment not to increase your dose on Friday

If you carry on you could end up over cooking the 2 follicles you have and not getting any viable eggs

Thanks andivfmakes3. Was hard to take but after going back and seeing only a few more follicles had shifted we decided to abandon and start again.

However, we've used the trigger shot and are going to give that a go, whilst we wait for another cycle.
