Progesterone persaries and IVF

Last Friday I started my progesterone 3 times a day and I've not been great since. After egg collection I was surprisingly fine, didn't feel like I had a balloon in my stomach anymore but since these I've had constipation. I had my egg transfer Monday and since then my stomach will not go down in size. I am very bloated. Woke up at 5am with a stretching pain across my waistline and it would only settle if I sat up. I'm nauseous but haven't been sick...I'm thinking it's the progesterone? Anyone else had things like this and if so when does it go

@Rdaisyleo can you call your clinic and run it by them?

Progesterone can cause constipation and in addition after your EC your body will also be producing its own progesterone. However given that you've only just had the EC it's worth speaking to the clinic in case it's OHSS.

@gardenlady543 I decided to ring them today and they think I might have mild OHSS. Feel like crap. Tomorrow will be a week since EC so would of thought I'd be okay. I dunno, I still think I've got too much progesterone in my system. The shit woman have to go through to get pregnant

@Rdaisyleo I did think from your description that it might be that, I'm glad you got in touch with your clinic. I hope it settles for you ASAP.

The progesterone is probably not helping the situation, but unfortunately you're stuck on it for now. I developed progesterone hypersensitivity in my fresh cycle, a rare condition that means progesterone could cause me to go into anaphylaxis! So I'm not the biggest fan, but like you say, it's what we need to do.

Fingers crossed that this transfer works for you and your symptoms settle soon.
