Hi,
My clinic are utterly, utterly useless for a myriad of reasons, and they are being their usual unhelpful selves regarding the vaccine, so I wondered if anyone could tell me what their clinic advises, and whether you have transferred an embryo after having the Covid vaccine?
My embryos are in storage in Northern Cyprus. Since I cycled there, they’ve lost a lot of staff, my Dr and old co-ordinator have left and i’ve been placed with a Dr that speaks no English and can never advise on anything I ask.
I’m due to have the Pfizer jab on Sunday. If all goes to plan, I will transfer an embryo almost 6 weeks later. My clinic won’t offer any help or advice, nor do they have a policy with regards to time frames after the vaccine and transferring an embryo.
Does your clinic say 6 weeks is enough time? Have you transferred after having the vaccine, if so, how long did you wait?
My problem is that I can’t delay transfer. I have many issues with my periods and had to see a specialist who has put me on high dose norethisterone for 26 days to try and induce a decent bleed, i’m on the norethisterone now.
If I have the jab on Sunday, i’m due to stop the Norethisterone 16 days later, then should have a bleed 4 days after that, then will start transfer meds on day 3 of that bleed. This means there’ll be approx 6 weeks between vaccine and transfer.
I don’t want to forego the vaccine, and I don’t want to delay transfer- i’m already 15 months behind schedule.
Does 6 weeks seem sensible? And if you transferred after the vaccine, how long did you wait? Thanks
