Has anyone started buserelin *not* on cd21?

I just got my dates for long protocol IVF, and I'm starting buserelin on the 16th June so we can aim for egg collection on 23rd July. At our last appointment the consultant said you can start buserelin at any time in your cycle, but Dr. Google suggests you're supposed to start it on cd21. It'll be cd5 for me.

I'd like to assume the fertility centre knows what they're doing, has anyone else started buserelin on a random cycle day rather than 21?

Think it totally depends on the person! I started cd4 and went for my baseline scan last week and it hasn't worked! Was due my natural af yesterday and she's here so back next week and hoping for so much needed positive news. However my friend done the same protocol as me starting on cd3 had no set backs and she is currently 5 weeks pregnant. X
