Been referred to IVF , I have had all testing done , all bloods and partners had all tests done , all fine ! we got the letter through the post to fill in our information and to send our ID’s. This letter is for NHS funding . Just wondering if any of you know what’s the next step after that ? Thank you in advance Smile

Hi, CoVid really messed up our referral wait so it's difficult to say for sure, and fertility centres will need to work through the backlog so your GP is probably the best person to ask. Or if you have the number to your preferred Fertility Clinic it may be worth calling them.

Best thing I can suggest is, if you feel nervous we found keeping busy with house decorating helped, but use this waiting time to get healthy and try to relax.
I definately would have found counselling useful during this lead up. We didn't start counselling until after our initial consultation with the clinic. Still very useful mind.

Once you have your first consultation though, it all starts to move quickly and with the space of 2 months from last period to embryo transfer.

Hope that helped.
X

We had our funding letter through in October last year, then had consent forms to fill in online in February and have just started our first round this week so it has been about 7 months from the point we got our funding approved, but COVID got in the way so I think it could potentially be quicker now!

Hi

I’ve had all my testing done. So I was referred in April for fertility. Had my first initial consultation in June. 21 day progesterone test and scans done aswell. I’m October I had HSG. All results were normal. They put me on clomid in October and I just had another phone appt with my consultant today saying she is going to refer me to ivf. She asked me to come collect some paperwork for eligibility form for me to fill in. No ID is required just questions I have to answer eg weight, smoking, no kids etc. Anyone know what happens next. Whether it’s another form to fill or is this the funding form

Hi
I was just about to make a thread about this so thank you to the OP for asking the question first! My GP refered us in October and I haven't heard anything at all since. Some of you are saying that you had to fill in forms and provide ID- did you have to do this after the application was accepted?
Also if anyone has any insights on the waiting time in Bristol, please share :)

Hi if you’ve been referred by your gp your initial appointment will just be asking questions about you and your partner and then appropriate testing will be performed. Once all the testing is done then you will be referred to ivf. I just filled out an eligibility form for ivf. Not sure if I need to fill in any other form. But when I spoke to the consultant she said the next step would be that I would receive a list of clinics to choose from. I live in the north west and after go referred my first appt with consultant was in June end so about 2.5 months
