First Fertility Clinic Appointment

Hi ladies,

A newbie here. I've been TTC for more than a year now. I have PCOS with regular period but very high testosterone. My partner have low sperm motility so we have been referred to a fertility clinic. The GP said the clinic will be in touch with us so now we have to wait. I guess you will all understand my frustration but the waiting is killing me. This is why I wanted to ask how long did you have to wait for your first fertility clinic appointment during the pandemic? I know it will be different for everyone depend on location (we are in SW London) but I just read somewhere where a lady had to wait 10-12 months what is crazy long. I'm feeling so depressed just to think about how along will we have to wait for all the tests to be done and if we will need IVF.

Hiya, I'm in SE London, we were referred in January and had our first appointment in April with a second appointment scheduled for June. Hopefully it won't much longer than that x

We did have all our bloods, ultrasound and sperm analysis done via the GP prior to referral which speeded things up. If you haven't already get some tests done via the GP while you wait. Sending you baby dust x

Yes, I've done my blood test (2nd and 21st day of my cycle) Unfortunately I wasn't ovulating in that month so I asked my GP to redo that blood test again as I would like to know if it was a 1 time anovulatory cycle or it is an ongoing issue. My new blood test will be next Monday. My boyfriend had 2 semen test done and the GP said the rest of the test will be done by the fertility clinic X
