I have had an ultrasound and diagnosed endo on both ovaries at least ... to cut a long story short I've had an ectopic in 2019 and now I'm 40 I'm beginning to lose hope. I am on waiting list for surgery to remove endo I'm debating whether to go forward for ivf it will have to be paid privately due to stepchild but consultant said ideally uterus and surrounding areas need to be in best situation possible before ivf so have surgery but then have recovery time etc or do I try ivf with my current situation of endo? I know time isn't on my side has anyone got any advice ?

Many thanks for all your helpful replies I've spoken to the endo nurse who is just amazing . She has had a look at my waiting time and said it won't be within 6 weeks but I am nearing the top of the waiting list.... my endo cysts on ovaries she said are small less than 2cm so that's a good thing and my dye test has shown my tubes are working so a little bit of hope. She has said she will speak to the waiting list clerk to see what she can do and speak to the consultant to see whether IVF could take place without surgery .... as she said surgery can sometimes damage ovaries or IVF drugs can make the cysts bigger. I feel better today that I've spoken to someone who can explain what's going on .
