Moving embryos

Hi

Can I ask if anyone has experience of moving embryos between clinics? The clinic that has my embryos has been sold. My consultant no longer does treatment there. I am considering another FET but would need to move them to his other clinic.

I spoke the clinic that currently has our embryos today and they said it would cost "about a thousand pounds' to move them. Surely that not right. It can't cost that much?

Any input of your experiences of this would be great.

Hi @Ging78 - my friends did this, between two clinics in London. They hired the canister and moved it themselves. Saved a lot of money, although not sure how much it actually cost.

I like this idea. Probably no different to how a hired professional would do it and nobody cares about your embryos as much as you do! I'm considering moving mine too so I'll certainly look into this.
