FET cancelled / Hysteroscopy for polyps

Hi Ladies, had an awful day, looking for any experience on this please. Went in for my FET lining check and they found 2 polyps exactly where the embryo would have been put back, so transfer has been cancelled.

I’ve never had polyps before and only had my last FET in March (BFN). Nothing was spotted then, but from reading it seems estrogen can cause polyps. I’ve got to have a hysteroscopy & polyp removal before I can proceed, but I’m worried they will come back during my next transfer if the estrogen tablets have caused them.

Should I have a natural FET next time, but with progesterone? As well as estrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries, I was also due to be on Prednisolone, Lubion and Clexane, so I don’t think I can go from all this to nothing at all, but I’m really worried the estrogen will keep causing polyps.

I had to have a polyp removed. This was even before starting any fertility treatment. One lot of ICSI and x3 FETs later and it didn’t come back. I had v high oestradiol levels with the ICSI and our clinic uses a higher than average dose of oestrogen for the medicated FETs too. X

@IslandStars I’m sorry your FET was cancelled, I hope you get your hysteroscopy scheduled soon so you can move forward with your treatment. X

@Lemongrass1 Thank you, that’s reassuring, glad your polyp didn’t come back. I hope mine are just huge bad luck rather than estrogen related, but they’ve come out of nowhere in 2 months, another hammer blow in the IVF journey I guess!
