Fluid found

Hey, just wondering if anyone has ever had fluid found in their uterus? I've been for a scan for FET cycle - I think they've timed me all wrong so trying to think it's just that - but they have found fluid in my uterus and gave no explanation just said it's being referred to the dr for inspection. I've left the clinic feeling quite upset and confused. No one seemed to know I was doing a FET cycle just assumed fresh. I'll be ringing tomorrow morning for an explanation but just wondering if there's anyone out there who can put my mind at ease or just give me an idea of what this means? Thanks x

I had fluid in my uterus on the day of egg collection for the cycle I’ve just done. They said the progesterone pessaries should sort it out by the time of transfer and five days later it had gone and I went ahead with transfer. Fingers crossed it is straightforward enough for you. I was scanned by a doctor so that was probably why no need for a referral. They said if it was still there I’d have to freeze this cycle and try again next month. I see yours is a frozen round already, so not exactly sure what is the same and what is different, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Keep us updated.

@AutumnVibes thank you so much for replying! I have come off the progesterone only pill and they think that may be the case but not sure. I have a whole history of endometriosis and hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed as they were leaking fluid in so shouldn't really have fluid there 🤔 my mind is in overdrive it's something dreadful! Google is not my friend today! But I'm really hoping everything's okay 😖 x

@AutumnVibes the clinic have phoned me today and asked me to go back in for a scan on Monday. I'm honestly worried sick it's something sinister x

Oh, don’t worry yourself sick. They’re always so evasive about these scans, never wanting to say anything, so you just can’t read anything into it, good or bad. Distraction is the only possible way to get through the next few days, so just get making plans. Not easy in Covid, but shopping, seeing people, go for a swim etc etc. Just don’t sit with google, you’ll go mad! Good luck.

@AutumnVibes little update, I've spoken to the dr at the clinic and he said the fluid is the result of my previous section and sadly it will impact on conception in future. I'm heading for my scan and tests next week to find out where we go from there. Feeling less stressed, a little sad but I'll make sure I enjoy my weekend with my little family which makes me feel even more blessed to have ♥️

Oh, so sorry. Hopefully you’ll be clearer next week, but you’re right, we should be focusing on enjoying what we have in the moment. I’ll try to do that this weekend too. Good luck, x
