Hi
Has anyone been to Serum for the hysteroscopy with deep implantation cuts prior to IVF and can vouch for whether its worth it?
I've had 4 cycles so far (not with Serum) and am gearing up for my fifth and final round. I had 2 cycles that failed (negative result), one that was cancelled and one Chemical pregnancy.
These were all with different clinics. There has never been any mention of potential issues with my uterus, and egg and sperm quality has been blamed so far. However, Serum have suggested that before having a fifth round, this hysteroscopy is essential.
I did have a hysteroscopy & laparoscopy on the NHS in 2019, which found a blocked tube (which they were unable to unblock) but did not report anything found with the hysteroscopy. However, in Serums facebook group there are many stories of ladies who said the NHS found nothing but Serum went on to find all sorts such as dead tissue, scarring etc. Also many people say they went on to get pregnant afterwards (either naturally or on the next IVF cycle).
My major issue now is cost. After 5 self-funded rounds I really am scraping the barrel and having this procedure is going to cost me an extra £2000, which is going to put me under signifiant pressure to afford the next round.
Im in two minds what to do... I have a blocked tube which is blocked at the uterus with scar tissue so I'm worried there could be more scarring on the uterus, but the NHS said they found nothing and all my transvaginal scans have shown no issues and a good lining. But others have said their scans also looked fine yet Serum still found issues.
Any advice appreciated.
