Hi,
We have frozen embryos at Reprofit, Czech Republic. Anyone done treatment abroad recently and know how feasible it is at the moment with travel etc? We're thinking about Autumn time this year. Thanks

@Scottishgirl85
I am flying to Reprofit in June hopefully for a FET! I have my protocol etc ready to go … just waiting to have some final bloods in my May cycle and then can start meds. Reprofit have given me a letter that confirms essential travel for IVF so shouldn't be any issues. I cant wait!

Thanks so much @firefly37! It's great to know they're still operating, I was starting to worry their business might have been badly affected! Wishing you so much luck!!

I am in Prague with Gennet. They gave us a letter which meant smooth exit from Uk & entry to Czech. The clinic also helped us to book COVID test that we were supposed to do between day 5-7 post arrival

I went to Reprofit at the end of March for a FET. Flights, transfers and treatment at the clinic went like clockwork. We didn't have the desired outcome from the FET but are planning a second trip in July.

Scottishgirl85 · 03/05/2021 19:30

@CamillaEsther wishing you so much luck for July. It is a tough journey Flowers
What have the clinic advised re vaccination, if you don't mind me asking please?

@Scottishgirl85 In fairness, I didn't ask the clinic for their advice on having the vaccine. I did my own research and going by the NHS guidelines, there is no reason to avoid pregnancy after receiving it. I have told the clinic that I'll be receiving my second vaccine 2 weeks prior to the July FET and they didn't advise me to delay treatment. This is completely your choice though and if you are in any doubt, contact the clinic.

Thank you @CamillaEsther. I really wish you all the very best for your FET!

@CamillaEsther & @Scottishgirl85 Ladies can I please ask how are you finding your clinics abroad? Im currently looking at Reprofit.. but Im so confused. Wishing you both the best of luck x

Scottishgirl85 · 06/05/2021 14:18

@idlikeahappyending I would highly recommend Reprofit. I am very lucky to already have a Reprofit baby. She just turned 3 and is our little miracle. We had serious sorry issues (pretty much as bad as it gets) and we got lots of very good embryos. They were fab start to finish.

@Scottishgirl85 thanks so much for your reply! And so amazing you have your miracle! I have had two failed rounds of IVF here in the UK and had 6 miscarriages so I know I am not an easy case... but we just dont have the money for a good clinic in the UK.... xx

CamillaEsther · 06/05/2021 16:13

@Idlikeahappyending I have been impressed with Reprofit so far. To be honest, our FET day in March was a bit of an anti-climax. We arrived at the clinic, had a discussion with our Dr and then had the FET. We were there for less than an hour and they were incredibly efficient. I am sorry to hear about your two failed UK cycles. After 6 miscarriages, you must be feeling pretty deflated about the whole fertility journey. We opted for donor eggs because of my low AMH & high FSH and 3 consecutive miscarriages. Putting aside the additional costs for PCR tests, Reprofits prices are almost £8k cheaper than UK DIVF costs so we didn't hesitate to start treatment with Reprofit.

@HopeForARainbow can I ask what covid testing you needed to do to get there and back please and costs? I'm was planning to fly back and forth for tests collection and transfer but guessing the covid testing will cost a fair whack if I go for that option so might have to rethink
