First consultation next week!

Hi everyone!

Just looking to see how your experiences were..: we have our first appointment with consultant at the fertility clinic next week. I wanted to know what to expect to go through?

I'm in the mindset now that we will likely need to go down the IVF route, how quick can things get started following our initial appointment?

This brings back a lot of memories (in a good way!) it's the start of the plan! 😍👏🏻** the consultation is mainly to run through your medical histories and any findings from any investigations you may of had. They like to have things up to date with their clinic so you may find you need to repeat some tests. On my own experience when I was nhs funded I found ivf dragged its heels a little but private was a bit quicker although private was after a failed first round so we were up to date with plans and tests etc. Depending on your clinic, they usually like to start things moving on your next period as long as everything is up to date and you feel ready to go ahead. From start to finish I had my first consultation in the January and had finished my stims and egg collection in the April.
