How many days of stims?

I'm trying to predict the future as always! Just wondering how many days of stims people did before egg collection?

Particularly those on short protocol 😊

Hi OP. I did 9, but I think it can be anything from 8-14 (or sometimes higher). I have done four rounds now and if I have learned anything it’s to stop trying to predict or manage it - way too stressful, you just have to roll with it! Eg my clinic will randomly throw at me that I need to go into an extra scan or blood test: round 1 it annoyed and stressed me, but I soon learned that was counter productive and I just had to accept that’s how it goes.

I did egg freezing but I understand it's the same/similar to short protocol. I was a poor responder and very low AMH etc so I did 14 days of stims.

I recognise you from previous threads I've been on - the TTC after ectopic one I think?

I'm just finished stims. Was on short protocol. (Lost both tubes due to ectopics last year)
I started injections on April 3rd. Had a scan on the 9th and the 12th to see how things were going.
Took my trigger last night and am in tomorrow morning for egg collection.
It all seemed to go fairly quickly! Hoping all goes ok tomorrow 🤞🏻

Hi 👋 @coffeewithmilk yes I was on the ectopic thread! Only lost one tube but have a dodgy ovary on my tube side and endometriosis so I'm due to start IVF on day 2 of my next cycle, which should be around 27th April! I hope your egg collection goes well today! I'll be thinking of you! 💛

@DoctorBambino egg collection went very well. Scan on Monday showed 4 follicles the right size, with 3 that could potentially go to the right size.. but they collected 11 today! So I'm surprised and eagerly awaiting the call tomorrow to see how many fertilised!
Procedure in itself was slightly uncomfortable but I don't remember much!

Oh wow that sounds fantastic @coffeewithmilk I hope you get some good news today about fertilisation.

I was 10 days of stims altogether :) short protocol and think I was taken 2 days earlier than planned as I had a lot of foilices

How are you getting on @coffeewithmilk ? I guess you must have had transfer by now?

All is good. I'm doing a frozen transfer instead of fresh as advised by my consultant. He said the success rates are slightly higher and better to give my body time to settle are the egg collection.
I'm 9 days post egg collection and still waiting on my bleed. I start my frozen transfer meds on Day 1 of bleeding, so I'm being very impatient!

Wow just seen on the other thread you have 6 in the freezer, that's amazing! I'm also impatiently awaiting AF so I can start stims! What protocol were you on? I'm on short with no down regging, straight on ovaleap cd2 then adding fyremadel and will trigger with ovitrelle if all goes to plan. I'm so excited to start!

@DoctorBambino I was on short protocol too!
Mix between menopur/cetrotide and gonal f.
Triggered with gonasi.
They collected 11 eggs in total (after only saying I had 7 follicles at my scan 2 days before collection!)
8 of those eggs fertilised, and 5 made it to day 5, 1 needed an extra day and made it to day 6.

I'm starting a medicated frozen transfer protocol on day 1 of bleeding. I've had spotting all day today so presume that will be tomorrow, so hoping for transfer in around 3 weeks 🤞🏻
