Day 9 Stims

coffeewithmilk · 11/04/2021 18:05

Hiya,
I'm currently on day 9 stims, had a scan on day 7 which showed 5 follicles on the left and 6 on the right all good sizes, and 3 more that may catch up to size.

Ive been in bed for most of the day, I'm exhausted and feeling generally sick, tired with headaches. Did anyone else experience this?
I'm due back in tomorrow for another scan and hopefully have egg retrieval on Wednesday.

Thank you

Sounds like stims are going very well for you 👍🏻 I haven't personally had any of those side effects. Might be worth calling your out of hours nurse to see what they say x

My wife had many of these symptoms - sickness, exhausted, headaches etc. They eased immediately after egg removal. Hope you feel better soon OP.

I didn't get any of those side effects either. I would give the clinic a quick call if you're feeling bad enough that you had to stay in bed for most of the day.

Good luck with your egg collection!

Thanks everyone for your replies! Mentioned it to the nurse this morning at my scan and she said she wasn't too concerned! I'm feeling a lot better today.

Hi @coffeewithmilk wondering how you are and how IVF went for you? Currently on day 3 of stims and feeling pretty yuck! xx

coffeewithmilk · 12/04/2022 11:37

@sunshineandshowers3 hello! Ivf went great for us - I'm currently cuddling my 12 week old little boy!
It is so stressful at the time but so worth it.
Wishing you all the luck in the world ❤️

@coffeewithmilk This is such wonderful, lovely news ❤️. A huge congratulations! If you don’t mind me asking, how long did you ttc for and how old were you when you conceived? Trying to stay positive but just so worried it will never happen for us xxx

@sunshineandshowers3
Thank you so much.
We needed ivf due to tubal issues. We are both early 30s. Had been ttc for 1 year (all resulted in ectopic pregnancies)

Keep positive. This stage is the hardest part xx

@coffeewithmilk Thank you ❤️. We have male factor infertility so will be having ICSI. Have felt particularly rough today with a headache but hoping it’s the injections doing what they should be! I’m 30 and DH is 31.

Trying to be as positive as I can (my husband finds this much easier than I do 🙈). Love to hear stories like yours though! ❤️Xxx
