Partially failed trigger (medicated cycle)

I did a medicated cycle with letrozole (7.5mg) under the supervision of my recurrent miscarriage specialist. I had 2 scans and had 3 follicles, used ovitrelle to trigger ovulation on cd14. I had strong ovulation cramps on cd15/16.
I'm now cd26, expecting af in a few days. But I had an ivf consultation today and there is still a 16mm follicle on one ovary and a corpus luteum on the other.

Has anyone had this? Is it likely to turn into a cyst? The doctor at my ivf clinic today didn't seem overly concerned by it. But it's not normal is it?!

Has this ever happened to anyone else? We're taking a month off ttc before we start ivf, so I'm hoping it resolves itself, but I am a bit worried...

Thanks!

Sounds like you definitely ovulated the one follicle? Corpus luteus are just formed from the ruptured follicle which has released the egg so totally normal. The remaining 16mm one isn't mature enough to be released ......they usually need to be 22mm

Thanks @ivfbeenbusy at my follicle tracking scan I had 3 measuring 2x16 and 1x17 and they triggered me the next day (I got a positive opk trigger day too, a few hours before). I got definite ovulation pains the next day, so did feel like I ovulated.

Just wondering what will happen with this follicle now, is it just going to keep growing, or will it shrink down?

The cycle ended in bfn this morning.
