Hi @348Apples

There’s some info here from the HFEA www.hfea.gov.uk/donation/donors/donating-your-embryos/

My clinic only ask about donating for training and research but from that link it looks like with the appropriate consent you can donate to someone else.

Thankyou I had a look but I wasn’t sure if you can actually specify you want to only donate to one person ? Like a family member or do you have to ‘sign over’ the embryos and the clinic assigns them to someone ?

@348Apples I’m not sure of the processes, I can’t see why you wouldn’t be allowed to do this, but think you’d have to check with a clinic. Presumedly you have a family member in mind, you will probably all need to have counselling sessions.

Thankyou I will keep trying to find out I don’t want to mention it if it’s not actually an option to start with but I’m assuming we would be allowed to do what we want with our embryos within reason it’s just something that occurred to me may be a possibility
