Was just wondering what people's views on Create are? It would be their Bristol Clinic

I was with Create Birmingham and had a great experience (but I had twins via them in January so that makes me bias) - I stuck with them for 5 rounds but had my final transfer not worked I would have tried a different clinic

Can't comment on Bristol but I know some of the frustrations apply to all their clinics

  • use of the call centre. Wasn't an issue for me as pre covid once you were a patient you had a direct number for the clinic but due to lockdowns it's call centre only which can mean longish wait times to get through to speak to someone
  • location - some reviews I read people didn't like the clinic locations - mostly on business parks? Not sure why since easy to get to and free parking
  • only do mild or natural modified IVF- only go to them if this is the approach you want

@ivfbeenbusy thanks. It's so hard who to choose!

We aren't happy with our NHS clinic so switching private for our next round. Our chosen clinic has a really long wait so looking at two others. The other being LWC.

Was the call centre your main criticism?

I did my last transfer during the first lockdown so didn't really have to deal with the call centre much - it seems to be a mid/post covid thing

I don't really have any criticism about Create - but I went into it having done a lot of (late night google!) research and questioned everything so that I felt that I was well informed and understood the process. It was my choice to change to natural modified IVF (which is ultimately what worked for us) but I do wonder if I hadn't pushed it would they have continued with the mild protocol which wasn't getting us great results?

Things like appointments being late etc - well you get that at the dentists, doctors and hospitals so delayed appointments didn't bother me as much as it probably did some people (I'd hate to think my scan etc was being rushed just so they could keep rigidly to appointment times)

I didn't feel like they pushed expensive add ons (actually they talked me out of several) and I felt like they genuinely cared about their patients ( but I did 5 rounds in 18 months so as I was there so much I built up a good relationship with the staff).

I had some scans at Create St Paul's and that had a very different feel to my Birmingham one (I preferred Birmingham)
