What made you move on to ivf?

I'm 33 yo, pcos sufferer, and I was ttc for three years. Recently I found out that my only chance for getting pregnant is through ivf, which was a hard pill to swallow.
Which issues were you facing and you had to turn to ivf?

We are 18 months into our ttc journey. I have just started IVF now. For us we made the decision based on the reality that the chance of natural conception is actually very low. I have PCOS and partner has low sperm count and motility. It's pretty scary not gonna lie but sometimes you just gotta take a chance. Good luck xx

For us it was infertility as a result of cancer, so we didn’t have a choice.

Couldn't find anything wrong with either me or my partner. No health issues, good bmi, healthy eaters etc. but ttc naturally just didn't work. IVF was very positive for us - I felt that for the first time ever I was in with a shot (though after so long, it had become difficult to envisage ever being pregnant). I now believe that every month I ever ttc naturally was entirely futile and that it would never have worked. IVF will always be my only chance of getting pregnant.

I lost one tube due to an ectopic so fertility was already compromised and had several miscarriages which I felt the NHS weren't prepared to provide help with (private clinics offer more testing and more likely to try different drugs) I ended up losing my remaining tube to another ectopic following an IVF transfer so was left with no choice then

@Goldilocks2528 I'm sorry that ivf was your only option. How did it go?

@Yokey Not knowing the reason of why you can't conceive makes the frustration worse. Are you on your first ivf cycle?

@ivfbeenbusy I'm sorry. I can only imagine your grief during your miscarriages, and after losing your other tube. How was your experience with ivf?

No, my first round gave me my 9-month-old. I'm very lucky! I tried naturally for many years without even a sniff of a BFP so you can see why I'm such a fan. I have blasts in the freezer and I'm hoping to have another transferred in a few months.
