Possible adenomyosis

I have recurrent miscarriages and struggle to conceive (been ttc number 1 for 3.5 years). I have been diagnosed with aggressive nk cells and been on a treatment plan that suppresses my immune system. I had a scan today to check my follicles after taking letrozole and my doctor thinks I have adenomyosis. I'm having a follow up scan later this week, but I don't know much about this diagnosis and the bits I've googled have terrified me.

Does anyone else have this diagnosis?

Hello I was diagnosed a couple of months ago as well. Never had a pregnancy but just had a frozen embryo transfer so waiting to see if it worked. There is a thread here with another lady if you want to check it out. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/infertility/4139600-adenomyosis-IVF

Hi, I’ve also been diagnosed with mild adenomyosis. There are a few really good support groups on Facebook - where people discuss the treatment they are going through to help get pregnant. There are also lots of people who have it and get pregnant naturally. I found those support groups did make me feel more reassured.

@Overlyanxious thank you that’s good to know. Do you know if the treatment is typically the down reg before transfer/ttc? I wasn’t aware of anything else that can be done.

Also do either of you have any symptoms like the pain or heavy bleeding during periods? I don’t have anything like that usually so was a bit surprised when I was diagnosed.

Thank you both so much @OhPeanuts @Overlyanxious I've joined a couple of Facebook groups and I'll check out the link you shared.

I don't have heavy periods, but I do get pain a day or two before it starts and quite often leg cramps. I think it might only be mild. But it's just thrown me, particularly as its not a confirmed diagnosis and there's no a lot out there (that I can find). I do have a tonne of fibroids too, but they're all in the uterus wall, so been reassured they aren't an issue. But with the adenomyosis too, there's barely space for implantation 😔
My doctor yesterday said my uterus wasn't very nice, bulky and uneven.

I heard long down reg is recommended. We have one nhs round, so I hope they will give us that protocol - we were due to start last year and they were just going to put us on the standard short protocol.

I have heavy and painful periods - which is how I ended up finding out as the Dr sent me for a scan. There is the down regulation and there is some stuff about diet. It’s been a while since I’ve been on but I think there may be a few other things you can ask about when doing IVF
