Hello, I don’t know if this is a long shot or not as iv posted on here before and got no response but I just need some advice, my fiancé had a failed vasectomy reversal he’s now 33 and I am 26, I currently have no children but have to go through ivf, I have looked at so many but still unsure on it all, can anyone recommend a clinic to me, I have looked at assured and access fertility as they do refund packages and due to me never trying to have children in my past I don’t know how fertile I would be 🤷🏼‍♀️, if anyone could please help me I would be very appreciative, Thankyou in advance x

Hi @Jessie357. While I understand you will need to go private for the actual IVF, you can find out lots about your own fertility for free via the GP first. And those are minor appointments that should be quite quick to make. I think it might be worth starting the conversation there.

I'll let others respond to your clinic question : )

Hello!
I would start at a GP appointment, to start the tests and at the same time guide you on the process, councelors and concultants you might need for this journey etc.
At the same time you can start your research on ivf, what it is, what's needed. When you feel that you have some idea on that start searching ivf clinics. By then, you will know some basis, what to look for, what you need from your clinic, budget, location, doctors, support system and any other factor you need to know. Then you go through the rapidwhole (I've just recently went through it myself). It's a chaos, I'm not going to lie, that's why I suggest you have firstly spoken to your GP, and a councellor.

Some of the recources I've found helpful are these:

www.arcfertility.com/how-is-ivf-done-step-by-step/

www.dummies.com/health/ivf-beyond-for-dummies-cheat-sheet/

mediglobus.com/top-five-clinics-in-europe-for-ivf/

gcr.org/top/fertility?page=1&per_page=16&sort=score&age_category_id=1&order=desc

I am overwealmed by all the information as well, I just hope the links will help.

Good luck!

To be honest at age 26 the tests on you are pretty pointless and dare I say waste of time when it's your husband who has had the failed vasectomy reversal......

I'd Google clinic in your local area and attend some open evenings - you shouldn't need a GP referral you can just go straight to them

It will be more expensive though as if the vasectomy reversal has failed they will need do a much more invasive sperm retrieval
