My first IVF appointment is next week and I'm already constantly thinking about it.... I'm panicking that they'll say I'm too fat... I'm a size 12, 5ft 6 and weight 13 stone (ill be on my period when I go and I know you gain more weight that week). I'm stressed... I've told my friends whats going on for the first time and I've said no baby talk for a few months I need to be in a positive head space... has anyone else found ways of relaxing or ways to re assure yourself to help reduce stress... any meditation videos you've found or ways of living you've done... I'm open to any advice

There is a mindful IVF app which really helped me. You should be able to find it if you search for it. Yoga helped too, perhaps you could find some online classes. I avoided all baby talk and being physically around them. I also took a break from
social media and hid anyone with babies or who was pregnant. We got lucky after our 4th cycle, so it took a while for us, just try to take it one day at a time if you can and not look too far ahead. Easier said than done I know xx

I also looked almost daily at the Aberdeen IVF calculator as it was overwhelmingly positive. Btw it doesn't sound like your weight will be an issue. Good luck xx

@fingersxssd83 thankyou I've now downloaded the ivf app and will have a look through it all. I also was thinking about yoga,so shall give that a go. I've told my friends that I don't want any baby news for the next few months and I'll ask the doctors on Tuesday about when would be a good time to take a break from work. I'm a cleaner and clean 10 houses a week alone, so I do think I'm going to need a break from work. I really am trying not to put all my hopes on this going to plan first time, but thats easier said then done haha. Thankyou for your advice xx

No worries, it's super stressful but you will get through it although it might not feel like it at times. Wishing you the best xx
