I had a day 5 blast transferred last week otd is next Monday, I tested this morning on frer and not even a hint of a second line...most people seem to have got a BFP by this stage. I wondered if anyone found their BFP came later? Trying to be positive but it's hard!

Hello @Roo45 Must be a tough morning after all that waiting...how many days past transfer does that make you today? I have heard of some delayed BFPs but not sure how many days past you are.

@IslandStars 5 days post transfer of a 5 day blast so I would have thought if it worked there would at least be a hint of a positive? I've had no symptoms but I don't think that means much x

@Roo45 Ah right, I think you’re still in with a shout then. I’ve read implantation is generally complete after 5 days, but I wouldn’t completely rule it out. A lot of people don’t test until after 6 days, so we’ll never know how many BFNs there were leading to pregnancy after 5 days. Don’t want to give you false up, but you’re not 100% out yet x

Thanks @IslandStars that's my thought process as well. Will see what happens in the next few days. X

I think being on forums normalises testing early and means your likely to hear of positive early tests. If you Google image search days after embryo transfer there's a list of what's happening each day that says by day 9 HCG should be detectable in blood. From what I can see it shows up there before in urine. I definitely wouldn't count yourself out yet. I'm day 8 post transfer and official test date isn't until a week today so I know how it feels to just want to know now. Looking at stuff like that is what's keeping me strong....that and giving my husband my tests to hide 🤦

There's some helpful messages today in the Feb/March thread about early testing...most advice there suggests 5dp is too early.

Thank you both! Good luck @pixelflower @islandstars not sure where you are in the journey but hope you are well too.
Yes I have been keeping an eye on the thread but not posting I was in a strange place mentally during treatment due to a few things outside of the IVF and didn't feel mentally I could fully support others and keep up with everything and didn't want to join the group unless I knew I'd be able to do that and then didn't want to join too late.
Had a good cry today and junk food binge, was in a virtual work course luckily camera off and muted! Then got stressed that my stress might be affecting a potential implantation if my embryo was still alive... IVF does funny things to your brain!
Little calmer now, thanks ladies ❤️

@Roo45 You’re welcome, hope it works out. My FET is next Tuesday, I’ve been feeling the same as you, not really up to posting and offering advice, as I’ve been a bit overwhelmed by it all lately - needed to zone out of IVF talk for a bit - not that it ever really leaves your mind, but you know what I mean. A good cry and a binge of comfort food definitely helps sometimes! X

@IslandStars so sorry to hear that- happy for a chat or rant if you ever need it. Good luck have my fingers crossed for you xx
